Back from Singapore

Came back today. Forgot it was Merdeka. Haha. Cause obviously no Merdeka vibe.

Singapore was so so. Long story short, went there. stoned the first few days. Then met up with my sister and her family. Went on the Singapore Flier, then the Singapore Zoo the next day with Rachel Yong. The good thing about Singapore is everything is close to each other (To me it is la cause there's no need for a car in Singapore).

Other than that. Yesterday I met up with Denise & Jasmine. We met up at Wesley Methodist Singapore. After service I was by myself. So I was adpoted by Denise's family for the afternoon (Ironically same sir name). It was weird but at least I wasn't alone. Denise, thank you and your parents. Haha. It was a weird experience.

Then we met up with Jasmine on the way to Orchard. I ended up following them as they shopped. Thankfully I managed to sneak away while they were in all those "female" shops. Would've have been awkward if I followed them there too. Haha.

Girls with their cameras *sigh* xD

Saw the "old" church members there as well. Having their own meet up. Rachel Yong, Han How, Wei Shen, Lydia & Cheng Sim (The people my brothers would know better than me).

Later at night, Jasmine & I left Denise & her family as we had not eaten our dinner and they were heading back. Took some time to figure out where to eat. She says I'm indecisive but look who's talking :P We ended up eating sushi.

She dared me to eat wasabi on its own....

No effect on me whatsoever =D

She on the other hand.... =P

And yes Jasmine, it is funny. Haha!

After we finished. We were fighting over the bill. Sadly, she won, but only because she had smaller change to give the cashier. Make me feel malu only. Lucky la you! But thanks again for dinner. Really kind and sweet of you. =)

Headed back to the MRT station together since our stops were near to each other.

Yesterday was the best part of my whole trip to Singapore. Haha.

Denise, nice meeting you in Singapore. Should plan more meet ups there. Thanks again for letting me hang with you and your family. So cool yet awkward. =P

Jasmine, nice meeting up with you too after so so so so long. You've really matured since we last spent some time together. Oh and sorry again for not being cheerful. Had a lot of things on my mind. It was good catching up with you too. Enjoy life in Singapore as much as you can as well. =) Hope everything goes well for you.

No Apologies!

Today was an awesome day. If I had only one day of this whole week to spend in Malaysia. Wouldn't have had it any other way. Unfortunately, it is THE ONLY DAY I have to spend freely in Malaysia. Will be heading off to Singapore tomorrow.

Yeah, so attended "No Apologies" today. Really beneficial man. I thought I knew majority on sexual education. Turns out I was wrong. Seriously. I didn't know there was more than just HIV and oh! In America, their sex ed doesn't teach teens not to have sex, but instead, teach them to do so in the safest ways possible (which aren't actually very safe). Go figure. It wasn't all studying also la. Got to be lame with others. HAHA! Especially Ee Kenn & Denise. We were so lame that we were able to influence people to join us.

Also found out the technical term on how most of my classmates are attracted to a girl.

AH DAMN! Not enough time to do my own stuff back here. Gonna miss out on futsal, computer time and movies........ Why am I still typing here???? Oh well. Guess that's it.

For those of you who haven't noticed, I posted a few more posts below. Enjoy!

Why am I still blogging?

Exams start tomorrow. BM papers and the irrelevant PJK paper. So why am I still blogging? Shouldn't I be studying. For some reason I can't take an exam that starts on a Saturday seriously. Especially if it has a serious paper and a stupid paper. Better get going. "SEND IT ON"

Malaysian YouTube Sensation!

Some of you have heard of her, some of you haven't. Whatever it is, she truly is a Malaysian to be proud of.

My quick view on her is that she's really an inspiration. She picked up the guitar at 17! This is real! I'm sick of those stories about child prodigies who start playing an instrument before they can even talk and end up being tremendously talented and famous by their late teens. Makes me think to myself "Damn. Should have done that when I was young" or "Why didn't mum and dad encourage me at a young age?" Well, Zee Avi started playing the guitar at the age of 17! This has really shown me that dreams can really be a reality......... even if you're from MALAYSIA!

IN OTHER NEWS! (By that I mean RANDOM news)

This just in! Top Gear (The tremendously popular car magazine and tv show), has launched their new line of yes...... you guessed it...... PMR Workbooks! I managed to pick a copy of their SEJARAH book.

Blessed With A Burden

BEFORE I GET TO THE MAIN POINT OF THIS POST,

Right, today I didn't go to school cause I fell sick. Which leads to the reason I fell sick. Because germs spread people!!!! This is a community service message to everyone. If you sneeze or cough, please cover your mouth and nose. Don't be retarded and think it's okay. How would you like it if I walked up to your face and started sneezing on it? I beg those people who are sick, PLEASE don't come to school. It's best for EVERYONE.

ON TO THE MAIN POINT!

Yesterday, I was watching Freedom Writers. For those of you who haven't watched it, wel..... WATCH IT! This movie not only relates to many American kids facing the real world, but also to me in a way. The part that hit me the most was the mind set of teachers. They don't really care about their students. So it is really God's blessing when a dedicated, caring teacher comes into your life.

One of the ways this story related to me was how me, or basically anyone is "Blessed with a burden". We sometimes feel that we have a lot on our plate to deal with, but at the same time we enjoy doing it. However at times, we feel that it's too much to handle and wonder whether or not it's worth it. I personally, have gone through this situation more times then I have thought about my upcoming PMR (which worries me in a way now that I think of it. LOL). So the simplest thing to remember when we're feeling down or questioning what's going on in our lives, is that "God made us who we are today. Everything that's going on is meant to be."

This movie has a lot of feeling to it. So be prepared to feel touched... in a good way =D

Some of the burdens I'm blessed with and have to manage properly are (in no particular order):

- Commitment to School, Studies, Exams
- Commitmnet to Boys' Brigade
- Commitment to MYF
- Commitment to LEO
- Commitment to My Family
- Commitment to MYSELF

We all go through simmilar if not same situations as at least one other person. So share your troubles with your close ones & God. Be proud of yourself, and grow =)
