So for those of you all who actually know me, I'll be leaving for Dubai in a few hours. Therefore, goodbye Malaysia for the rest of the year. Be back in January. So I'm now taking the effort to blog one last time before the year ends.

2010 was by far a WHOLE NEW YEAR for me. Almost every single thing had changed. New school, new people and so many more new experiences!

I shall start of with school as that's how the year began for me (and almost everyone else who's still a student). On the first day of an entirely new environment, I was really worried. Expecting that it would take really long for me to adapt. As the "new guy" I knew would be kind of left out and stuff. But as usual, God was with me and proved me wrong! To all my friends who I've come to know and love, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for making this a year to remember. Trent, Danesh, Jude, Ying Hong, Ian, Faya, Adrienne, Farah, Louise, Shannon and everyone else, you guys really are a blessing in my life. =)

Growing closer to people I already know never fails to amaze me. Just when I think I know everyone as best as possible, I come to know you all even closer. Especially a certain few. Mike, Edwin, Zhi-Wei, Eugene, Sean, Denise, Mei-Yan, SarahS, God bless all of you for being a part of my life for so long, growing up together, being so active in church, and of course, continuing our walk with God. =)

I love you all!

So despite all the crap that's happened this year, I shall not forget the happy ones as well =)

I'd love to post an individual message for each and everyone of you, but time forbids me cause the taxi JUST arrived =P I'll see if I can find time to do so while I'm away.

To all you people who are just as crazy about Hillsong as me, you probably already know they released their 2010 Live album in July. Taking a look at the cover, I didn't think it would be as great of an album as it's previous ones. That's where I was so WRONG! I guess the saying of not judging a book by its cover applies to music albums as well (Don't judge an album by its cover =P)

This album is by far Hillsong's best work of worship. It may not have as pumped up songs as its previous album, but the songs bring a whole lot more meaning.

You know how most of us only think that we're truly worshiping with our whole hearts only when we go all emotional and slow paced. This album begs to differ. Worship doesn't mean we can't be happy and stay focused on him at the same time i.e. always having to overly cry our hearts out every single time.

Even the album cover itself has a story! After reading about it, I understood why they went ahead with it (God is truly AMAZING). READ HERE

To really understand what I'm trying to say here, go pick up a copy of the album yourself. Guarantee to have no regrets =)

Something I reflect on often is how I've changed since I was younger, since before I experienced God. Being the youngest in my family, all of my siblings have already left home. My sisters were already adults when I was born. My brothers left while I was in primary school. Of course I've enjoyed every moment spent with them before they left even if I didn't back then. It's because of them, I am who I am today. Them leaving while I was still young, I've had to learn many things by myself and through other people. While all of my friends had siblings to help them with their homework, I never had anyone to refer to.

Throughout the years, it's safe to say that I've grown maturely in both worldly and spiritually ways. However, due to this, I tend to rely too much on my own strength to do nearly impossible things. I guess the sense of independence comes as second nature to me. It's only recently that I realised that I can't keep this up forever. I have to turn to Him. The title of this post is taken from one of the most famous christian songs EVERRRR....... JESUS LOVES ME =D

But yes it is true. No human can do everything by him/herself. We NEED and MUST rely on His strength!

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Revival & Prayer

Spending my weekend at a prayer conference wouldn't be something I'd normally do. But with consideration of current events and the change wanted to be implemented in church, I thought it would be good to go for it =)

All started of last week with Mei-Yan passing me the brochure for DUMC's Prayer Conference. The speaker was Pastor Dr. Phillip Lyn & his wife, Nancy. I, of all people should know the limit of my attention span. Verdict, .... not so good. I won't lie. There were times where I nearly fell dozed off during the conference (especially Friday night). The main message was revival and prayer. Revivals have taken place in places I never knew of and truly, after hearing the stories, God is simply amazing.

The pastor told us that how can we expect our nation to be revived if we ourselves have not been renewed. I'm sure many of us have had that one big encounter with God that has changed us since then. But it doesn't have to stop there you know! Though I pay attention to what's being spoken, pray with everyone else powerfully, there's always the question of whether I'd just be in the mood of it there and then, or be able to bring it back with me wherever i go. After the first day, I found it REALLY GOOD. But honestly, I felt like it wouldn't last long....

Then came Saturday. Wasn't planning to go for it due to my usual Saturday commitments. But I did really want to go for it. I was told that no matter how much we serve Him, we can only grow and learn if we make time to also RECEIVE from Him. Thus, my mind started to reflect =P I really did want to go for it though. THEN, I met bumped into Denise in church. Found out she was going for it later and since MYF was cancelled, I decided to follow her. Missed out on band class during BB, but I have no regrets in the decision I made. It was worth it. He makes things happen!

I even went for the third and last part of it, which was today. Right after first service, I tagged along with Zhi-Wei. When I left, let's just say I felt crappy. Didn't think I could pay attention today. During one of the times we prayed, my stomach felt like it had been slightly twisted (That's the best I can describe it). So, I decided to concentrate even more on my prayer. After crying out from the inside to Him, it was gone. Emotions faded. I basically felt plain. So I continued. I think I got "hit" by Him without even knowing it =)

After service, I went over to "The Burning Bush" (DUMC's own bookshop) to buy a book that was recommended throughout the conference; The Bario Revival. When I got to the counter, I managed to get the LAST copy of it. I for one don't read much on a normal basis. So it wouldn't really have mattered if I didn't manage to get it. Bu the fact that the last one they had was in my hands must have meant that God really wanted me to read it, and I shall do so.

At home, I didn't feel like how I'd normally feel every Sunday after church,which was something like "Monday blue's"? I felt "just", not worrying about tomorrow or the days to come. In conclusion, I did bring back, keep and gain a few things. I was REALLY REVIVED. My faith in Him has grown. Though I've been resisting and not giving in, I learnt how to control myself instead of letting the devil control me.

MY GOD IS REALLY AND AWESOME GOD!

It's the 28th! Yes, the title of this post is taken from the ever so amazing Hillsong United album. What does it have to do with this post? READ ONNNN.

We hear many stories relating to poverty in poorer countries, how we should reach out to them and bring God's love to them. First things first, get your heart and mind right! How are we (yes, WE, not just you or me alone) supposed to do so when we ourselves ignore the big man up there? You tell me.

For many weeks, maybe months, worship through the youth ministries I serve in church doesn't really end up being worship at all. Not pointing fingers or anything. At the same time, I'm thankful for those who have led the rest into worship whole heartedly. Worship is more than just singing songs and going through a chord sheet. Yes, this must be reminded to ourselves ALL THE TIME. Only when everyone's heart is set right, will we be able to make change.

2 weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to lead a worship session this week. Chose some fairly uncommon songs because the meaning of the songs meant a lot to me. I had an urge. An urge to bring and show and remind everyone else why it is we worship the lord! Throughout this process, He really tested me to see how badly I wanted to do this. First off, I had a really small worship team... like.... REALLY small. Secondly, despite the fact there were only 3 of us, we couldn't have an advance practice. So, the plan was to meet at church around 7.30am to practice (Before the days activities took place). Retardedly, I overslept.... =.= Then again, I somehow managed to wake up eventually out of nowhere.

I truly must say, I began to worry. Thus, some quiet time needed to be spent. Felt much better after that. I was reminded of the devotions I had gone through throughout the week, the story relating to David & Goliath (on how David had such strong faith for a little guy, and that caused him to be victorious and protected by God). Shared this and a few other things with the team.

As for the above passage, it's a bit scary, but yes, this is why we should worship the Lord with joy and happiness of our heart and not just do it for the sake of doing it!

Carrying on, attended the "Youth Adore 2010" concert. Mmmmm... shan't say much about it. If you really wanna know then ask me personally =) Things for sure are, Drummer For Christ were AWESOME! One of the members really enjoys drumming so much that he smiles while playing the entire beat.

Worship was passionate. The musicians did know their instruments well, but that's beside the point. The way I felt while worshiping,.... haven't felt like that in a long time. By faith, they sang "Look To You", "From The Inside Out" and "Came To My Rescue" (3 of which I've been listening to quite often on my iPod). The songs were obviously to my preference, but the best thing was that I started to praise Him with my all. Singing my lungs out, not caring if I would lose my voice. L-O-V-E =)

So yeah. I guess I had an adventure this Saturday.

Sometimes I wish I could just blog from my mind because by the time I actually sit down and open blogger, I forget everything I wanted to say =.= Mmmmmm... I'm sure I wanted to write about something else but guess it slipped my mind....... Oh well.

Yet another month is about to pass. I think i actually have the fear of growing old. The thought of where am I heading always flows through my mind. I've got a few things set but THE BIG PICTURE is yet to be revealed even to myself. This world is too full of itself sometimes I think. Finding it hard to stay on my walk with Him. (Me and my troubled mind.... Hah.)

Few things I've been wanting to post up here; exams are over. That's a relief. Stupid homework checking is here (Oh nooooo!). It's when everyone rushes to complete the ridiculous amount of work given by the teachers just to satisfy the people on top of them =.=

Am currently on a 40 days prayer and fast! No lunch and facebook for me :O I seriously hope I don't get any thinner. Am grateful to have company while I fast in school, as well as the many people who've decided to fast from facebook as well =)

Haven't been feeling well this past whole week. From headaches, flus, and sore throats, to a hamster biting my finger and an anti-tetanus shot (Yes. I know it's ridiculous... LAUGH with me)

Big cousin turned 19! Celebrated at his place with a BBQ. Still think his place is by far, the best place to have a party. After devouring all the food I wanted, headed off to the squarish park with a basketball which couldn't bounce properly. Ended up playing "catching" at the playground. (Reliving the glory days! Except this, time I don't get tired as fast =P) Ended up on the swings with herrr. From there, it lead to playing basketball in the darkness (Train your eyes?). Everyone's slippers kept braking off from the sole. Got fed up after a while seeing as there were so many people there. Sat down and had a nice looong chat =)

The party ended pretty late. Stayed over. Headache kicked in again. Watched a ridiculously long yet not so great movie. Fell asleep. Donkey was playing DOTA all night. Left for church the next day.

TMC PJ celebrated its 51st anniversary yesterday. I expected more from the turnout though. Mei-Yan's musical offering was moving =) BB boys are an official brass band now! Haha! Great job for only a few days of practice. Food served was good. Ate to my hearts content. For dessert, waited in the longest line everrrr to get not one but TWO ice kacangs ;)

Sunday school and prayer today was yet again, gooood. I keep feeling like I'm facing depression or something, or at least I act like it =/

Which brings me to where I am now, sitting in front of my desktop typing this, wondering if there's something more important for me to do.

Sometimes I feel like I'm unhappy or disappointed. It takes a toll on me. It was just recently that I realised I shouldn't care that much. IT HAPPENS. In my mind, I keep telling some people that there are bigger things to worry about. Therefore, I shall be no hypocrite for the Lord is my strength! =)

SEDAYAN CONCERT

My school had a concert on the 8th of July to promote itself to other schools (No joke). Was chosen to be one of the emcees alongside Faya & Farah (making me the only guy.... oh joy).

Also performed with my so called band which broke up right after we finished performing.

Through that experience, I've found out that the BASS attracts the most attention =)

Sorry for the over-shadowing Danesh =P

Oh, and that was the first time I saw Trent again in many weeks! =D

Other than these 2 highlights, I also went for DUMC's 180 The Musical. Met Adrienne, Danesh & Ian there to give our support to Shannon.

Some genius celebrated his birthday on the 16th as well. Forgot what his name was. All I remember was his friends in school threw him and other July babies a surprise party which led to a whole lot of drama for the rest of the day... He says thank you once again to all of you.

Sunday was a nice day. Hehe. You all should know why. If you don't, all I'm gonna say is that I watched Eclipse.

It's one of those moments where I feel like blogging but when I finally get to it I don't. =.=

I should take a break.

Life is sometimes unclear, uncertain,

unpredictable, & foggy =)

I'm back from Camerooooon Highlands. Most of you already know that I forgot to bring my jacket up there. Yeah well, apparently it's not as cold as Australia or New Zealand on a normal day. All the overseas travelling has paid off!

Went up to Cheefoo Methodist Centre. Last time we went there about 3 years ago. They've renovated the rooms and all but the outside is still the same.

Something I learnt up there was things NEVER stay the same. Change is always among us whether we like it or not. On the journey up there, I told Zhi-Wei that we were getting old and that the younger ones running around the back of the bus used to be us. He agreed.

Throughout the years, I've lost and made new friends. Sad to say that, it really does suck when so many close friends end up far far away from you. But of course, I'm blessed to have made both NEW friends as well as become close to those I'd never thought I would spend so much time with.

I assume this is all part of God's plan for me..... something bigger which he is preparing me for right now.

Times really do change as well. From generation to generation, we look at the younger ones and go, "We never used to that when we were their age," or "Kids these days......."

MANY of us wish we could go back to a certain time to cherish and appreciate the moments more. Unfortunately, time doesn't work that way (duh!). I realise I don't really know where this post is leading... dot dot dot

Moving away from all the emo-ness....... I found out there's an emo feeling which can be described as Happy-Emo. Basically, the emotional thoughts make you smile instead of cry la (Don't ask how). Haha.

Haven't been catching up on as much sleep as I intended to (Help).

It's amazing how God works. Yes we've all heard that sentence many times before, but how many times have we ACTUALLY experienced it first hand?.....

The past week, I was literally thinking too much. Almost went through another break down (only myself to blame). My mind started wondering about what was I gonna study after SPM and what career path would I choose. I had some ideas but didn't really feel like it was in my interest. Then again I am a lazy arse who'd rather not work xP

So I went to look up some career choices on the Internet. Found out a lot of information on requirements and study paths. Felt less burdened. Then my mind went on to "What subjects to take for SPM?" Apparently I'm not a very "sciency" student but I am in the science stream. I guess that's just the way the Malaysian curriculum works. Can't do much about it.

On Saturday, He spoke to me along with a whole bunch of others during MYF. We were given a talk on how to choose our career path. Paid a lot of attention to it. Barely felt like sleeping. The one thing which I did not take into consideration, was to pray about it. Ask God to reveal his plan for me. That never crossed my mind probably because everyone else in my family knew what they wanted to do. I'm sure that now, I WILL put God first in the path that I choose, hoping that it is all in His plan for me =)

BB/GB enrollment was good. DIDN'T GET ANY SLEEP AT ALL. Spent time making a lame and embarrassing video that was watched by the whole congregation. But hey, at least everybody had some laughs. Congratulations to those of you who were promoted. Looking forward to another year of serving with both the old and new members.

Now, on to current events. Today marks one of those days I should remember automatically. Cause it only comes by once in a lifetime. Then again, I forgot, but thankfully I remembered well before time. Haha. (Effects of stress and AGING). It has officially been a month. A good one I must say. Thank you for everything (and of course, the card). You've made life a whole lot brighter for me. Still looking forward to the times to come =)

BLA BLA BLA SOMETHING SOMETHING. Kay, I'm done with my introduction. The worst part of the holidays are officially hereeeeee. THE ENDING! *JENG JENG JENG* *gasp* (I think this just shows I shouldn't be blogging late at night. Too much random crap will be written. Hmmm....) Anyway, I'm gonna go in chronological order. Here goes.

PROLOGUE

If you don't know what's been going on with me...... well...... there was VCS where all the little kids were running and screaming [Step 1 to parenthood, control big crowds of little kids].

Also taught somebody to play the bass [and enjoyed every second of it might I add =))))]. You did an awesome job by the way. I'm so proud of youuuuu ;)

@ I enjoyed all those random moments we had together.

TUESDAY (15/6)

Other than helping out with VCS along with the guys and her, I've had a pretty average week. There was futsal with my La Salle gang. Had a really good time catching up with you guys. I'm missing out on all the drama back there weiiiii! Haha. I'm no longer there to keep you guys balanced =P

THURSDAY (17/6)

Also watched "THE A-TEAM" with Paul and Kelvin for freeeeee! Know why? Cause apparently some people don't appreciate RM50 and just leave it lying on the floor. THAT'S WHY! Verdict on the movie, AWESOME like... OASUHDUAWEDHUHASDBIVE! Perfect blend of action, suspense, and comedy.

FRIDAY (18/6)

Then on Friday, I had a fruitful time indeed. Edwin and his dad picked me up to go to summit. We wanted to go check the prices and designs for our jerseys. Got there around 10.30am? Everything was closed =.= Spent like 3 hours stoning there till we finally decided to eat lunch at Old Town. Continued our unsuccessful search. Found Salvation (Bookstore) which has like EVERY SINGLE HILLSONG ALBUM!!!!! (Lost my mind for a while due to that). Then she called =)

Ditched Edwin (Actually he ditched me for a sports shop) for a few minutes to meet her. The "Smile" switch was automatically turned on in my mind. =) Went back to find Edwin who had already found Denise and her family.

That day, I also found out that guys, if you ever want to buy something but you're not exactly sure what you're looking for, BRING A GIRL ALONG. Edwin, we failed to prove a point. So sad.....

So we finally got the jerseys and headed back to Denise's place to bake. No, I did not bake anything. But I did help out okay (as weird as that may sound). Badminton was fun since i like pwned everyone else xP

@ Good job once again. Let's play on a proper court someday shall we? =)

Headed back to church, said our goodbyes, and continued on at night with worship practice (Joel's first time leading). Finally got to put my bass skills to the test.

WEEKEND (19-20/6)

Had fun during MYF. Father's day celebration was simple and entertaining. Joel did a good job worship leading. Just be more prepared next time yea? =)

Happy Father's Day! (20/6). Not gonna talk much today. One thing many of us forget is that we not only have 1 father but 2! We don't call God our Father for nothing ya know =) So those of you who are reading this, give a big shout out to God and thank Him for being in our lives, being our Father =)

I've been having an awesome 1+ week! Church Camp this year was probably not as great as last year's but hey, it was still enjoyable.

Other than that, A LOT has happened within this short period of time. Won school inter-house badminton (Got my first DESERVING medal ever!). I've also made a big decision in my life. Those of you who know, well, you know =) Don't really know what else to say. I'm overwhelmed in a good way. Tie me to the ground for I think I can actually float away =)

Well, it's the holidays now. Hopefully it'll be a fruitful one. Off to Ipoh. Will be back by the weekend. And I'm thankful God just continues to shower his blessings upon me, you, and everyone else. PEACE!

The AWESOMEST worship team ever!

All glory to God! Sunday was an indescribable day. Never experienced anything like it. MYF Sunday was great! Everything went well. Would particularly like to thank my worship team again. Sarah, Denise, Glenn, Jason, Mike, Gabriel, Ee Rick and Bel! Thank you for playing your part in our praise and worship for God =) A very special thank you to Jason, Glenn and Mei-Yan as well for giving me guidance and helping me out. You guys rock!

So, my encounter with God this weekend started on Saturday. Was feeling crappy and spiritually exhausted due to the fact that I had to lead worship twice that day, twice the following and once next week. A bit too much if you ask me. I love leading people in worship and all but I would prefer not to do it if my heart isn't set on God. I personally think that sometimes it's best to not have worship at all then to do it just for the sake of doing it. Then God sent someone along to share some wisdom with me =) Of course I wasn't enlightened and rejuvenated straight away. Took some time. As I went home, I felt the urge to read my devotional book and bible. The thought of "Maybe God has something to tell me before I head off to bed." And poof! The devotion for that specific day (22/5/10) was "Restore & Heal" with relevance to the call back to true worship to the Lord. Now that REALLY lifted me up.

Woke up on Sunday feeling the joy and nervousness flowing through me at the same time. Leading the Sunday congregation in worship was not a common thing for me. The Lord saw me through =) One of the cool things that happened after service was that an elderly uncle carrying a cane came up to a few of us and said we weren't charismatic enough. Instead of taking that as a harsh comment, it was rather surprising because elderly and even adults complain about the loud banging of drums and the screeching of an electric guitar. =) Overall, MYF/Youth Sunday was an absolute success! God did his work through each and everyone of us that day.

After lunch with the "older youth" (me being the youngest =P), Got ready to go for GDOP (Global Day of Prayer). Truly a great experience. It's amazing to see a massive number of God's children in one place regardless of race and language, praying for the country. Ended quite late and most of us were tired. SOMEBODY in particular DID NOT SHOWER the whole day! (I wonder whooooooo? =P). All in all, God did wonders on Sunday, the 23rd of May, 2010.

As for now, my legs hurt... Don't ask. BYE!

Been having exams lately, science subjects are killing me. Other than that, worship practices for MYF Sunday have been taking place. Hope the songs chosen are from God and not me. Have to plan worship for church camp as well. And in between all of that, I've still got to study for physics, chemistry, maths, history, moral.... But I have nothing to worry about because the Lord is my strength!

Will also be going for KL PJ LYPG's "Heart To The Beat Of Love" tomorrow! It will be a whole afternoon of prayer for our nation and worship! =)

At the beginning of this week, I found out the true effects of LACK OF SLEEP, something many teenagers in this country go through on a daily basis due to the evil known as SCHOOL a.k.a HOMEWORK.

Lack of sleep for a night or 2 may be fine. Be aware it accumulates. I've been lacking sleep since a couple of months ago? So. What REALLY happens due to a great amount of lack of sleep? Well, physical exhaustion isn't the worst of it. It's the mental breakdown that messes with you. You "Go against your own will" (If that's even possible). Yeah so anyway, you've heard this saying many times but I shall say it once again....... GET ENOUGH REST PEOPLE!

Aside from my rant above, the weeks aren't getting anymore relaxing. I'd love to stay positive and cheerful, but even I have my limits. So stop complaining about the little tiny microscopic things in life! And to all you people who use the term "FML", think before you write that. Is your life really that bad. If you DO think it is, then pray. God will see you through!

Right now I'm in Melbourne Australia for my cousin's wedding. Took a week off from school, but that also means I'm missing Easter back in Malaysia. Haven't been doing much lately. Caught up on some much needed sleep. I'm missing everyone back home, but at the same time I think I deserve this much needed vacation. The potong stim part about this trip is that I have to keep up with my school work =.=

Arrived back from Penang AGAIN. Food there was AWESOME! Prawn mee, char kuay teow, kuay teow thng, asam laksa, ALL PENANG STYLE BABEH! Haha. Bought some really cool gear from Body Glove (Apparently it's very popular in Penang). Will blog about it some other time.

Anyway, 2 months of 2010 have officially passed. 8 more months of school left until I can lepak like no one's business again. Been really busy lately with school, homework, exams and organising camps. God really wants me to serve in more ways than one I guess.

Lately, I've realised that I need to be more selfless. I'm not the only one going through trials and tribulations. Therefore, I'm here to help others. =)

Ah. Finally. I'm able to update my blog. It's been one busy busy week. Homework, homework, and more homework! Just wait till someone dies of doing homework! Don't say we didn't warn you JPN!

Anyway, last Saturday was the Chinese Culture & Christlike Living talk. I thought, "Hmmm.... this should be interesting. I mean, I'm Chinese but barely know anything about being Chinese so, why not?" And guess what!? BOY WAS I WRONG! I like wasted my whole day there! I could barely understand a thing he said, probably because of his accent. But that's just me. He also kept using Chinese quotes which I don't even understand since I'm a "banana" and I think he was talking a little too much on Buddhism rather than Chinese in general.

Thankfully, I WAS NOT ALONE! My kakak, Denise, sama-sama stoning with me. We were so blur and were wondering why the people were laughing at everything he said. We nearly died in there! Haha! Had Sarah as well! She kept falling asleep most of the time. Want proof?

So thank goodness I had people with me. If not, I think I might have just walked out. I'm not saying the speaker's talk was bad. Woke up yesterday morning with a sore throat. Thought it was nothing. Became worse after break, then I had a runny nose, followed by a slight fever. Felt so terrible that I couldn't even concentrate on the lessons.

Now the works piling up. Hopefully I'll get it all done and catch up with my studies before I start to fall behind.

Still a few situations to get used to, as well as a few problems to solve.

Seriously can't wait to jam this Friday with the worship team! (Mike, Eugene, Zhi-Wei, Ian, Sarah, & Denise, let's give it our best!) Take my mind of things I don't want to care so much about. Find peace....... again.

Last day of my longest school break ever! Didn't go out with a bang, but had a nice time in church, making each other laugh and discuss things. Was excited when some of us were planning for next week's worship. Ended due to a reason which keeps recurring. Stupidest excuse ever. I mean come on la! Who goes on a holiday one week after school re-opens?? Sick of it man. And of all the dates.

Hope I made the right choice about going to Sri Sedaya. Hopefully things will turn out fine. Not sure if I'll be the same. But one thing's for sure, I've got my brothers and sisters in Christ that will always be there for me. =)

I get a fresh start tomorrow. I pray that I'll meet at least 1 good friend. Pray that he'll be a strong follower of Christ as well. Haven't met anyone like that in any school I've been to. Keep reminding myself that in everything I do, I do for Him.

2010 is here. Nothing to get worked up about. It's just another year added to our lives (Reminds us we're getting OLD). All we have to look forward to, is what we know will be different. The rest will take place on it's own.

New Year's Eve party with the TMC Youth was fun fun fun! Turned out better than expected. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Had a nice time of fellowship, and celebrated Zhi-Wei's birthday before the midnight countdown.

Really gonna miss hanging out with you guys. I know that God has much more in store for us, especially you guys. You're all getting OLD! Haha! All the best to those who finished SPM and are now, finding jobs, going to college, heading for NS, and attending Jeremiah School.

Next, I'd like to apologise for whatever I've done wrong without knowing (whether it's my attitude, the way I treat somebody, etc). Please forgive me and point out my mistake, cause that's the only way I'm gonna learn from it.

Yesterday was apparently Zhi-Wei's worst day of the holiday! And he blames it all on me!

Here's how it started. Met up at church in the morning for a meeting. Then headed off for lunch. Before that, here's a random pic.

Back to business. So we went to Mid Valley (Gardens actually) and ate at T.G.I. FRIDAY'S. Everyone basically ordered a cheeseburger in one form or another. Sucked like crap. Was overcooked. Some burnt. So it was really really DRY! Zhi-Wei feels like puking every time he remembers the taste.

After the meeting, decided to catch a movie with Mike and Jon. Took the stupid Metro bus from Federal Highway. Waited there for dunno how long.

Upon arrival at Pyramid, in Zhi-Wei's attempt to climb over a railing, he hit his balls.... really hard!

He may look fine in the photos, but right after I was done taking them. He started shouting like crazy!

Hung around Pyramid until Mike came to pick us up. Had my so called "dinner"

Christmas this year was the bomb! Finally got to celebrate Christmas in Malaysia after who knows how long it's been. This is THE first year where I have had to buy presents for my friends. No joke! Confirmation Sunday!

Today was a big day for me! I was getting confirmed (being an official member of a TMC PJ). Of course thank goodness I wasn't alone. I had Edwin and Sarah with me =) Service was good. Plus we got to take our first official communion on the same day! Caught up with each other. Poor Edwin is still a bit sick. Get well soon dude. Caroling's coming up!

My dearly beloved Granny celebrated her birthday today as well! So cool right? And my Godfather came back from the US recently as well. So he and his family were able to attend my confirmation. God really works in mysterious blessed ways, doesn't he? =)

Back from 3 non-stop on going camps! I've already talked about YLDP and the MYF Comm Retreat. So now it's on to BB Year-End Camp! Awesome activities were done! But these were my favourites; Rock climbing (First time too), Leap of faith (Climbing a tree blind-folded and hanging on to a trapeze bar), and the raft building! The raft actually stayed afloat! Props to the team I was helping. You guys (and girl. lol) did a good job.

Other than that, I really learned some stuff too. Like the fact that planning a camp is never easy. Remember to consider all things. =) Thank you those who have thought me that.

And.. oh! We got to cook our own meal! MI SEDAP!!!!! Hahaha! Awesome stuff! Sadly I had to leave a day early with some others cause I was getting confirmed the next day. Thank you LT for the ride back. Much appreciated.

And that's it for the camps. The overall best parts were the fellowship as well as the presence of God =)

Retreat @ Genting

Spent the night at Genting with the rest of the MYF Committee. Had a meaningful time. Got lots of things done. Had crazy bonding time! Seriously. So we took the cable car up to Genting. Jason was sitting on one side of the car. You could actually see the thing tilting. If that wasn't enough, he started shaking and rocking the car. Thus, Denise started to scream as usual.

Other than that, the rest of the time was quite crazy as well. Driving up and down, swerving left and right. Haha. Oh and these people love to "say" things!

Guess we'll have to wait and see what God has in store for us!

PLEASE BARE WITH ME. DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH! COME BACK LATER IF YOU ARE.

For those of you who are completely blur about my life, I came back from YLDP 2009, 2 days ago. That camp was AWESOME! It rocks your socks inside out! No regrets whatsoever for going. Met tons of people there. Really friendly! (And not in a scary way either). Gained some attention as well but that's not important. Highlight of the camp; GOD!

A thing I would like to share from my experience there, is don't go astray, get distracted, or carried away. A month+ ago, Jason came up to me and told me "Dion, you're leading a worship session for YLDP cause Trinity PJ has to send a team." At that point in time, I was like "Ok no problem. Just need to get enough practice"

Thus, the nervousness kicked in the day before. Butterflies in my stomach! Couldn't concentrate fully on sessions. It was like a string of questions kept piling up in my mind; "Is it gonna be a good worship session?", "Am I gonna screw up?", "What do I say in between songs?" It was even more intimidating since I was leading worship on the 4th day. Because for the first 3 days, the worship leaders were so much older than me. They were all so deep and meaningful. AHHH!!!

When the time came, God took over. We prayed before we started. Saying that the music wasn't as important as the main reason for worship; to praise God. After the music started, everything just blanked out. Nothing else mattered. I felt a connection between God and myself. Occasionally I would see people jumping and dancing around, worshiping their hearts out for God. Because of this, God took away the fear and nervousness, and I kept smiling the whole time I was singing. All turned out well

I also cannot forget the loving, caring friends I have (I'm gonna list them since I can remember), Ee Kenn, Joel, Angel, Jasmine, Edwin, and Matthew! They came right to the front to support us! Super supportive la you guys!! THANK YOU!! Of course I can't forget my team, without them = no worship! Mike, Mei-Yan, Zhi-Wei, Eugene, Sarah, Yuen Xin, and Ian (You're a part of TMC PJ now. Haha).

If you haven't been able to get my point, I'm trying to say that even in the most nerve-wrecking situations, your friends as well as God will pull through for you. Also remember, never get carried away or be too concerned about less important things that you stray from the main point which has been and always will be; GOD.

Sri Sedaya School accepted me in. Test was quite challenging seeing that I haven't touched a school-related book in a month. Barely passed my BM.

Test was 4 hours for 4 subjects all at once. Had a headache after that. Hopefully it was worth it.

Feeling better now. Nose still a bit blocked. Hope everyone else who was sick has gotten better.

I wasted 2 hours & 30 minutes of my life yesterday when I agreed to watch New Moon. Was ajak-ed by Sarah. Seeing as I had nothing better to do AND wanted to get out of the house, I went (WRONG DECISION).

Went to Curve via "Malaysian" Public Transport. Wasn't so bad this time but I really hate the local public transport. Give me Singapore's cabs, buses and MRT anytime! Met Esther there as well.

Basically New Moon was a piece of crap. Overload of drama. Stupid love triangle as well. It's a movie that's more than 2 hours long but only takes a minute to explain the whole story. Seriously felt like dying in there. Maybe I should have spent the day studying for my admission exam.

Today was TMC's Experiencing God: Musical. Turned out okay aside from a few technical glitches and what not. Didn't take many pics since I was handling one of the spotlights (and I still haven't bought a new camera). I did however, manage to get a few of the roman soldier/drug addict; Khong Zhi-Wei!

Due to that, everyone around church started calling him Adam Lambert. But of course you know that Zhi-Wei will take any opportunity to make something lame. Thus, Adam LAME-bert was born..... Mike however thinks he looks like that dude from Tokio Hotel.

The crew involved with other parts of the musical (lighting, sound, etc), had to wear all black. Therefore, made me feel very emo. I don't wanna feel emo if I can help it lar.... Sad thing is, have to wear all black this coming weekend as well.

Saturday, GB had their awards day. Great day to go for BB. Didn't do much during BB, but it was probably the most fun I ever had in BB this year. Told tall tales, jokes, stupid situations and what not. Caroling later that day was alright. But I think quite a lot of people didn't come.

Yesterday on the other hand was draining. Went to church, no class.... didn't go back in the sanctuary cause didn't seem very polite. Thus began the stoning. Actually wanted to go for 2nd service. Unfortunately, had to travel with a few others to go check out a camp site.

Church musical practice later tonight. Still have to practice my "lighting" skills =P "8 thumbs up" aye Edwin? Haha.

Checking out Sri Sedaya school tomorrow. Looks like mum supports me in shifting school.

Thursday, more futsal. Hopefully more people will come compared to last week. Edwin, I'll screw you if there aren't enough people.

Long story short, AAR will never be coming back to Malaysia and DiGi SUCKS!

The waiting line for the concert was crazy man. It was about 1km around the whole stadium. Poor PK was waiting in line since 2pm, he was in the front of it though. Paul picked me up, got there about 4. Perfect timing, they began to open the gates, so we "squeezed" in and got to the front.

Crazy concert. Standing all cramped up near the stage. You get retards pushing you just to get an inch closer to the stage. No food and drinks were allowed to be brought in. Stupid thing is, you'd think it was to avoid the fans from throwing stuff onto the stage and what not. BUT NOOOO. They don't allow you to bring food and drinks in, but they sell them inside. Money-minded sial.

Malaysian bands were so so. Disagree, Pop Shuvit & Once Buck Short (Wow. Can't believe I can remember). The worst part was when you had to wait for them to set up. Took their own sweet time. Especially AAR! Took about 45 minutes to set up.

And apparently AAR didn't do their research before coming here. They used unnecessary foul language, acted slightly obscene and threw BEER to the crowd. That's right. BEER! Of course to me this doesn't really matter. But wait a few days and you'll be hearing idiots complain that they were inappropriate.

There's a lot to talk about but I feel I'm boring whoever's reading this so I'll stop here. Stood waiting for 6 hours for something that lasted only an hour +.

Paul found me one of their picks they threw to the crowd. Have a laugh.

Went to 1 Utama today after church to collect my mysterious prize from Converse. So got there, went to the store and this is what the cashier told me, "Oh. Yeah. It's only arriving on Tuesday." My semangat was like shattered to the max. Going all the way there to find out that it hasn't arrived. So to try and cheer myself up, I asked them what was the prize. And so the best reply ever came. "I DON'T KNOW". The 3 words people (and bimbos) use the most often. At least I managed to get my AAR tickets. Had to buy their album to get the ticket. Value for money: so so.

Even saw a Myvi in the car park with a "Knight Rider" LED in the front of the hood. It looked so cool and lala at the same time.

Define a "Productive" day. Something many of us want especially during the holidays since there are only a limited number of days. I'm guessing for most of us, a productive day probably means getting out of our homes and loitering with your friends at a mall. Now that I think about it, isn't that boring?

A productive day doesn't HAVE to be a day out of the house. Do something you'd enjoy and gives you some sense of accomplishment. For example, it's better to spend a whole day cleaning and organising a room rather than spend 2 hours at a shopping mall doing nothing, coming back, and stoning in front of the TV. Bare in mind that this is just my point of view. If you find doing absolutely NOTHING productive, then so be it.

Holidays lately are so so. I MUST find something to do other than play futsal. PK's open house was okayyyy. Some of them nearly blew off their body parts when playing with fireworks. Erm.... other than that more futsal, futsal, futsal and oh! I played more futsal!

I could seriously do with some people to hang out with. Preferably people I rarely hang out with (No offense intended towards the people I go out with most of the time).

Have to go to school tomorrow to sort out some stuff regarding my curriculum marks. Damn potong. Thought I would be done with school after PMR until next year.

What else is new? Hmm.... Oh. Caroling practice starts this week! Denise is getting excited as ever (As usual).

The Life Chapel

The 2nd visitation or field trip to a different church with my class. SO much better than SFX. At least we could talk during service and actually understood the message this time. Not many of us turned up though. Our beloved teacher, Aunty Mi Li was so kind to drive us there.

I can't believe Sarah beat me to church. Especially since she's normally LATE. Haha.

Okay, so a bit about their service. They hand out bulletins just like TMC. But Sean & I were like, "Where's the order of worship? This is all just announcements & news." We then realised that the order was in a small box (Roughly 3cm x 3cm. Lol).

Want to know why? Well..... The way their service runs is kind of impromptu. Anyone could come up and speak and share what God was telling them. The service dragged on to around 10.15. It felt long because us Form 3s normally don't stay for a whole church service.

After the service, we were invited to the basement for some refreshments & a time of fellowship. I felt so left out after one of the aunty's told me to move to the next table (in other words, told me to get lost) in order to let these 2 other girls sit next to Sarah (See Sarah? Once again, all your fault =P).

And of course, you must bear in mind that EDWIN was there. So obviously, he'd take advantage of any situation that came his way. He started flirting with them while Sean, Sarah & I teased him (kinda immature but I didn't really care). Even after we left, I think one of the girls came out to say goodbye to him but saw us grouping around him so she didn't. Poor Edwin.

Good luck with your piercings, aye Edwin? Haha!

P.S. Edwin, maju already ar? Must give me some advice one day. HAHA! YOU WISH! I'll accept your advice in a million years la.

Currently going through Penilaian Menengah Rendah (Otherwise known as PMR). The 2nd of 3 public exams that students of this country are forced to sit for.

Going very well. No complaints, for I know that I can do all things with God by my side.

For those of you who were not thinking about the possible consequences of checking your answers after you had finished that paper (E.g. dissapointment, depression & the oh so popular phrase used to describe every terrible deep feeling "EMO"), here's a few pointers.

- What's done is done. Don't regret any answers you have chosen

- If you know you made a mistake. Stop thinking about it

- NEVER check your answers until AFTER you get your PMR results

- Always believe in God, and all you WILL get what you aim for

- The above only applies if you do your part as well

- Always do last minute revision. This guarantees to jog your memory

- Eat healthy, stay healthy

- Avoid going out. It screws up your mood.

- Remember to always pray (morning, before a paper, after a paper, night, ANYTIME)

Follow these steps and I can guarantee you, you won't feel troubled, and will do just fine.

All that's left is Maths, Sejarah & KH =D

On Friday, school had this thing where they would pray for all the students sitting for PMR, SPM & STPM. Obviously due to experience (I'm sure all of us would have thought the same), my friends and I thought that it would have been more concentrated towards the Muslim students. To our surprise, they gave just as much attention to the other religions as well.

Went for the Christian "session". Turned out pretty good. It was so cool that we had a worship session to sing familiar songs (To me at least). They even managed to get a pastor from a Subang church to come and talk and pray for us. It was really good.

I've always known God will always be there for me in everything I do. But I really needed that one unexpected thing to make me remember He was and will be there for me. Props to my school. Good job.

Went to school today. Popped my head through the class window and the first thing Prashant & Kelvin wanted to do was whack me. Haha! Tak jadi! Now that they've seen what I can do to them with just a few minutes of footage of their lives and a computer. =P Kidding la. They were actually laughing and quite pleased with the video.
